Gregor Montgomery from the North Shropshire Hunt topped the individual table on his lovely horse Blackfort Ginger known as Winnie at home – he was a last minute replacement for his brother in the team and had to come back from university to take part.  “Winnie, who is a chestnut mare, lives up to the reputation of chestnut mares”, commented Gregor. But who cares when she can win such a competitive class!

Local Pony Club Bicester & Warden Hill were the team to take the win in this class. Belinda Naylor   , Team Manager, was delighted. “It’s such a privilege to compete here at Blenheim Palace and we are all very proud to be the  winning team.  It was a bit touch and go before hand as a couple of team members had to drop out – one was given permission to come out of school to fill a gap at the last minute.”

The Beaufort Pony Club was very proud to see Georgia Grierson on Thomas who spends his winters hunting with owner Hattie Clark and summers with Georgie eventing and doing Tetrathlon.  At 16 he’s quite a character but Georgie made it quite clear “His favourite thing to do is definitely hunting – he’d do it every day if he could!”
