The amazing array of stands at Blenheim Palace International Horse Trials was judged on Thursday afternoon by Lady Araminta Spencer-Churchill along with Horse Trials Committee Member, Phil Duff. The September sun really set off the range of stands and the individual characters of the brands exhibiting to the utmost making for a fascinating afternoon.
The trade stand award for Best Open Space Stand 2024 was presented to Oxford based Volare Aviation who offer a unique concept in private aviation and investing in or owning a private jet or helicopter. Katie Guilbert, Head of Marketing was delighted the stand won the award, “We are so pleased to receive this award and very proud of our stand,” she said. “We wanted to create a special place for our clients to come to and take time out from the show, relax, have a drink and take in the spectacular view of Blenheim Palace.”
The Award for Best Large Stand went to Digby & Litten – A visionary lifestyle brand set in the heart of Somerset. Tom Litten has a unique background that perfectly aligns with the brand’s ethos. Tom spent countless years wrestling with livestock and dealing with the frequent torn trousers these experiences led him to design clothing that not only stood up to the rigors of rural life but also captured the spirit of adventure inherent in such a lifestyle. Commenting on his best Large Stand Award Tom said, “It feels great, it’s a lot of effort getting the stand to look good, I am absolutely thrilled with winning the award. The colour of our boards really stands out and they seem to pop and catch people’s eyes. Our green and pink rugby shorts seem to be the best seller at the moment.”
Newmarket 875 landed the Award for Best Small Stand. Specialising in exclusive luxury fashion Newmarket 875’s, 2024 Spring Summer collection features beautiful, handcrafted leather goods and elegantly embroidered pieces that will look timeless in any wardrobe. Joe Baker, Designer at Newmarket 875 was surprised to win the award as a first timer at the horse trials, “This award is recognition for what we do and there is an awful lot of effort to get to where we are now. We only started showing at the beginning of the year and have improved the stand with every show. It’s a challenge in a small space, we have had to be creative and its fantastic to see it appreciated.”
